About this Drop
In a time when our planet's biodiversity faces enormous threats, we must once more "Listen To Nature."
As a digital artist, I wanted to enhance the message by using emerging digital techniques such as generative art and creative coding. From particles in a sandstorm, to the ebb and flow of ocean tides, to the quantum probabilities that give rise to each of our stories, *
Francesco
Misceo
Francesco Misceo is an experimental contemporary dancer and multimedia artist born in Modena, Italy in 1997. In a fusion of digital and performance arts the canvas of his creations runs the gamut from stage performances to exhibitions combining real and virtual worlds.
His work is acknowledged for its holistic artistic methodology and compelling digital backgrounds, which consider not only physical elements as dance, but also optical, sonal, sensorial and, above all, spatiotemporal components as part of the choreography. Based on his profound interest in choreographing time and space, Francesco's vision is expressed not only as a choreographer and dancer, but also as a composer, light designer, scenographer and visual artist.
From New York's respected Peridance and La Capriola Centro Danza in Modeno, Italy, to the Academy of Fine Arts & New Media Art in Bologna and Modeno's Liceo Artistico A. Venturi, Francesco's deep training in dance as well as visual & digital arts has built a solid foundation from which to launch his distinct artistic vision.
He's danced in ballets at Peridance and Bookings Dance Festival at Lincoln Center in New York, given talks on Motion Plus Design in Tokyo, and been in residency at Orsolino 28 for performance and dance documentary film work. And his work has been honored as the winner or finalist in various dance competitions ranging in style from Hip Hop to Urban and experimental dance.
